I copied Ollie Morris' "Cam-a-Go" idler-shuttle principle from back then (with his permission, via a phone call. Sadly, he's deceased now).

[I apologize for intruding on Mike's informative build thread]

Well.....its hard to say that when we made morethan we ever thought we could. Johns head and intake work is a HUGE part of our success with what we have. However we are still limited by the head and intake. The engine makes huge power despite the casting. So we found a lot with scott elsewhere. We will be applying the same approach to a better casting and intake soon

Mike, any special modifications to your cooling system to help with head gaskets living? Do you run a inline water pump or a Meziere type pump? Any extra cooling to the center exhaust valves? Thanks for the information

So do you have a priority branch circuit under the valley pan, Mike, feeding the mains?

Tom V.
