Default RARE D port manifolds and Pypes Exhaust

Posted in Exhaust tech but no response yet. Just about ready to order exhaust for my 70 GTO. I have the 2 1/2” oversized D port Ram Air manifolds from Ram Air Restorations. Looking at our host, PYPES direct, and Summit for the right exhaust kit. I like the sound of the Street mufflers on a friend’s T/A with crossover. I believe the correct kit I am looking for is SGA12S. I know I would have to order the head pipes separately and also the exhaust splitters. I have read different things about the fit of the head pipes and the tail pipe. Anyone have personal experience/opinions to share? I would go with the 409 SS instead of the 304 SS as I don’t think corrosion will be an issue for me.

I went with the SGA10 exhaust kit with X pipe for my 69 gto. I have the walker 17749 turbo mufflers. It sounds good but it is almost too quiet for me when driving around. It sounds really good when you get on it. No drone whatsoever.
I’m thinking about ditching the X pipe, going to straight duals and either getting shorter mufflers or maybe just 1 short and 1 long muffler for that Pontiac sound.
