Default Flaming river steering box

I have a 68 Lemans that I put a Flaming River box on a couple of years ago, it worked great lost alot of weight off the nose of the car. The box now has a lot of play in the steering now. I have tried adjusting the box to tighten up but to no luck. What I am asking is what is a good box to use and is there a rebuild kit for this box. This is a manual box and the car is drag race only.

what box is it? Flaming River does not make steering boxes.
funny how you input 68 Lemans in their search and it tells you that they don't have anything LOL

Check with Speedway... "Boss" usually gets his steering stuff from there they have quite a selection. We use them on street/rat rods. (not Flaming River) Some are found in street rod section others in stock car section. Their support and service are excellent.

Thanks Bruce I will give them a call. The play in the streering wasn't too much of a problem till I ran beach been last week. The very narrow groove gave me fits.down track.

Flaming River does have steering boxes. I run their vega style. Contact them to fix.

Yes this is the vega style box, bad thing about this is the car weighs 3300 and they recommend no more than 3000. I am going to rebuild the box till I can find something else.

I have universal joints, it is most definitely in the steering box.
