Default 1962 - proper control arm orientation

I did not take good enough photos, and though I have some, it is hard to make out.

On a 62 fullsize, does the little riveted-on reinforcement on the lower control arms face the rear of the car or the front? My photos seem to indicate rear, but I don't know if the previous owners reinstalled them properly.

Also, what is the proper bolt size to mount the arms to the frame, looks like a 7/16" to me.

Looks like 1/2" bolts for the lower control arm?

The lower bolts are 9/16". The challenge is finding the bushings with 9/16" holes

Yeah, I unknowingly bought A-body bushings with the 1/2" holes too. Too bad I already pressed them in. I think I'm going to try the energy suspension bushings for A-body, and putting in bigger sleeves.

Assuming the sleeves for the energy suspension bushings are the same OD then these should fit exactly.

Maybe I'm crazy, but that's a lower control arm. Is the ball joint in upside down? Shouldn't we be seeing the threaded swivelly part of the ball joint and not the bottom where the grease fitting screws in? Spring sits in that depressed area behind it.

I found it strange too. Maybe why the lower ball joints on these don't last very long?

The energy suspension bushings showed up today, and they are exactly 3/4" OD by 2 3/8", so those Moore bushing sleeves will fit perfect and allow a 9/16" bolt.
