Rust in area where fender attaches under rocker panel
A friend is helping me address some rust issues with my bird- all this started when I dropped p-side fender to install Vintage Air. The side cowl panel was rusted pretty bad at the bottom and I bought a really nice replacement panel. However, the area in rocker that has the welded in nut for fender to bolt to is rusted through. It is curved and makes up one side of the flat area/pinch weld which is also rusted.
Neither of us have lots of time to work on the car due to our work schedules so would be nice to limit fabrication time. I looked at Frank’s Pontiac Parts in case he has an original section but didn’t see it. Anyone know if this piece is reproduced?
