Default Which trans cooling line goes where?????????

I bought new trans cooling lines and I'm not sure which line goes where. Bought the stupid service manualand it doesn't have crap for info. Does the short line go on the top or bottom. Thanks for a quick response.

It really does not make much of a difference.

I would say that top line on the trans goes to the top line on the radiator.

On the 67 radiator the trans lines are both located on the bottom of the radiator, not like the later models where they are stacked

Does it matter which line goes where? or is it just a loop?

Here's a shot of the empty engine compartment on my '64 Tempest. I was using a set of repro '67 GTO trans lines in it, was running a 455 with TH400 trans along with a repro '67 radiator. The '67 trans lines fit perfectly in the '64 -'67 Pontiac A-body cars.

The lines are held in a rubber-insulated clip bolted to the frame next to the passenger side motor mount bracket. Hopefully this photo will help you figure out what you need to do.

I knew someone would notice my trick adaptation of that fine writing instrument.

The pencil was a perfect fit.
