Default Gas Tank Strap Bolt

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what the bolt looks like. I Replaced my gas tank and I lost the bolts. Thanks for the help.

Going by memory.. I believe it is a j bolt around 4 to 5 inches long. I may have a couple extras burried. I will look tomorrow.

I think you have a 3/8" carriage bolt that does the trick on that. As was said about 5" long. Get a galvanized one at TSC if you can. The originals had a head similar to a carriage but slightly smaller. They slide up into a slot on the bumper end. Square shoulder keeps them from turning. Need to be threaded all the way up.
