60 ' time
I been working to get my car to hook. Just curious, if you can take 1/2 second off your 60' time, what does it mean off the ET in the 1/4? Will all else remain the same?

I think if you take off .5 in the 60' you can figure it will turn into at least. .8 at the end of the track

.5 sec in 60 ft. is a lot to shave off. Curious what plans you have to accomplish that?

Car 60' time is 2.1. Spins real bad. Just bought slicks. I spin all of 1st part of 2nd and still trap at 139 mph. The car weights 3800. I figure a 1.6 does not seam that far fetched. Car is boosted, that is at 10 psi
I have video but you can not upload videos on this site. |

Its all about the 60 foot. You get half second off that thing and you will be happy.
Get a Grid with all the sensors. Wheels , drive shaft ect. Get more traction and take some power out and add it back in. 2.1 is baby diarrhea zone. Maybe George is onto something about turbos LOL. |

If you're not hooking up at the launch, you are losing a ton of ET.
Get some good slicks. Work on the suspension. What kind of car is it? What is the rear suspension setup? Your MPH is more indicative of what it should run, than the 60' times. (9's)

(9's) It is a 1970 Lemans. I just got done with some suspension work. (stock style) I have Santhuff front springs with 90/10's tubular ft control arms, Rear I just put stock springs back in with a competition eng. 3 way adjustable rear shock, it has hotchkiss lower arms with spohn adjustable uppers, and a spohn drag bar. I just got MT 28 10.5 slicks I have to try. I think I need a better rear shock. I need a track day to test and tune, but it is winter here. Can't wait for spring! |

Get RId of those crappy shocks! Those aren't gonna cut it for the power your making! Next get some video either from the back drivers side or from underneath to see what's actually happening, 90/10'S up front will also be way too fast for your setup. Spend some money on shocks and that thing will scream!

3.55 IT is a street driven car. Lot's of cruising around, the turbo makes it fast.

What front shock? the car is heavy. Nose comes up fast and will stay up, I was hoping the slicks will help a bunch. I never felt good about the rear shocks, they are old school, 3 settings you have to remove it to set it. Again 90% street driven, I sorta need them best of both worlds. |

I spent the money on afco's in back, and just recently picked up some very good used menscar's for the front, My car is also street driven, nose heavy and lifting fast are two bad things lol, at very least a good DA in the back and front to control the hit and the rate of front end rise, being heavy up front u need it to come up, but not so fast it tops out and upsets the rear, like i said video is a huge friend here in this case, cause what u think may be happening could be totally different. A example my new setup was hitting the tire and then spinning about a foot and half out, watching video from under the car showed it hitting the tire too fast and unloading , I slowed the ext down and bang right down the strip it went! https://youtu.be/Sai-fLHlSbI
