Just curious, the crow mod must've weighed what 2550lbs? With it being a ProMod car I'm sure it was built a hair under and then weight added where it was needed to make the 2650?? He went 3.99 at Ducks race. What kind of hp does that show? Stan a little help?? Lol

I was referring to the DCI/Arrow non pushrod through the port billet RAV head.

On the run where they had bottom end issues the 60' was .985 and the 330' was 2.59 !!! EGTs were all very even and never went over 700 deg.
Its going to run 5s. The Tiger version went 6.11
I doubt any other Pontiac combo is going to be even close to the power.
Chief needs some of that. Billet block so you can put the screws to it.
Maybe put it in the Crow Mod and give Pro Mod another shot.
Still a uphill battle but it would be fun to see.
Although when Sik gets the solid IA2 that will be interesting in its own right.

EGT's NOT over 700 degrees is NOT a good indication of power or power potential.

If he was not running NHRA / Legal Pro Mod from what I understand he ran larger turbos and sometime Nitro in his fuel.

HP needed to run a 3.99 1/8 mile time @ 2650# can vary a good amount. Really need to know some of the other numbers from the run to zero in on it.

Stan

Stan, can you get a decent HP estimation from a 330' time and 60 foot ?
Anyone know the weight of the FC ?

LOL, I know you Canadians think of him as one of your own. Mike and the whole Janis family are damn good people. I have known them since the mid 70's. If you are ever near the Buffalo, NY area stop by Jan-Cen Motorsports and say hello to John, Mike (if he's not on the road) and the rest of the clan. Check out his blower dyno.

Its not even close to as bad. To date any other top end require a billet block ?
Anyway Dave and Steve seem to be pretty humble guys from what I gather.
"Its" going to "talk" at some point. Tick Tock. Few other builds going on.
Whats this about you trying to tell me what I can say or not ? I will talk junk if I want too, free country. If you don't like it, so be it.
Old Tiger engine went 6.11 @ 227. No one in their right mind thinks the new engine will not beat it.

1/8 Mile ET = 3.8973
1/8 Mile MPH = 192.3846

Kevin,
Can you post a link to the video?

I average MPH from xxx feet before 1/8 to the 1/8. Right at the 1/8 (660.026 feet actually ) I have the MPH @ 189.25

weight = 2650
hp = 2750

60 Foot ET = 1.0404
330 Foot ET = 2.6722
1/8 Mile ET = 3.9906
1/8 Mile MPH = 186.2410

============

If he was running lighter weight = 2550
hp = 2600

60 Foot ET = 1.0404
330 Foot ET = 2.6749
1/8 Mile ET = 3.9999
1/8 Mile MPH = 185.1164

Stan

I’ll bet he wasn’t weighing 2,650 when he ran that 3.99!
