Thanks guys - this has been very helpful. Mostly I was interested in the more basic - lower end trailers. Currently I am considering a new 2019 H&H '24 with 5,000 axles - $7,150. - Any thoughts?
Thanks Again, Craig |

I borrowed a 20 ft enclosed for a 73 Ventura and it was tough getting it tied down in the front.

I went from a 24ft to a 28ft and still need more room. I don't think you can ever have "enough" room in a trailer.

Any trailer... here are some things to consider.
Winch cable through deck under a roller and back up to vehicle tie point. Cable also goes over roller on deck. Add some frame stops(preferably adjustable like a jackstand center coming through deck) and front ain't going anywhere . Add adjustable stops in rear and ratchet straps to lock it down on stops, vehicle secured. Fenders too high for door clearance is easy to resolve with pieces of 2×12 on deck. Steel wool dipped in oil (wrung out to not drip) and stuffed in holes is very effective for pest control. They won't eat it or nest in it(even daubers). You can use light coat of spray paint vs oil in areas that only see dampness. (or just leave it as is and change out steel wool as needed) |
