I have a set of what appears to be rally II's on my 71 Lemans. They are 15x7. I expected to see them stamped with a "JW" code, but found "HW" instead. What code is this? Can they be reproduction rims?

I'm not to knowledgeable in decoding rims, but according to high performance pontiac (number crunching 1978 firebird/April 95) they list code "HW" as 15x7 rally II, part no. 525710 Base/Esprit/For/TA. They show the same thing for 79 firebird (HPP June 95). Hope this helps

Indeed, the HW code is for the later style 15x7 wheel used up through '81 on TransAm's & on the '77 GP's. This basic 15x7 4 3/4 pattern wheel was preceded by the HM wheel in '73, which is basically identical. '71 LeMans came optional with 14x6 Rally II wheels code JT & beginning in late Nov of '70 the code KU was introduced. The early style 15" Rally II wheel was optional on select '71 A-bodies & carried either code KN or KR, depending on date of production.
