Gearbanger, you ran 113 mph with a 12.70 ET. If you could hook a 1.60 60' you would be running upper/mid 11's.

But once I am able to get into it, it ran 8.30 in the 1/8 and 12.70 in the quarter, that is full street trim. Through the pipes and 1-5/8" headers, sway bar hooked up, about 3770 with me in it, and rowing a 5-speed. And that was only one run. I know there is alot more in it, if I just knew how to drive :)

I couldn't be happier with my heads. They are the 310s.
Glad to hear some more positive feedback. I am going to buy the 87cc 310 cfm ported but bare. My machinist wants to try the "new" beehive style springs from comp. I will run the xe284 with 1.5's (i have) then 1.6's. Then upgrade to a HR roller. ( undecided which profile).

This won't happen overnight but hope to have the heads installed mid-summer.

Bare but ported to 310cfm is 1795 - pretty good deal - I think.

I believe in checks & balances along with + & - so.....
I bought a set of KRE 74cc-310 CFM d ports. They were flowed by a reputable engine builder prior to installation. Not really to "check" them out but rathet to compare to my Butler ported 670's I was taking off. They flowed 298 @ .600...very close to KRE sheet..Proof was in the pudding..
With the KRE's and change to a mild solid flat tappet cam it ran a 11.68 on madin voyage..in Drive... Best avreage ET's had been 12.4 - 12.5's... I was pleased...When my motor exploded early this season it drove #3 piston up into head....only sustained a small "scratch"...cleaned it up with a mill and replaced two valves.
I personally have had good CS with Jeff at KRE..
I just ordered a set of the 74cc 325 CFM heads for my 505 build...as stated in another thread..I can't speak for others...just my own experiences and opinions...
One thought.....if KRE's flowbench shows the numbers that is on their sheets, that doesn'rt mean KRE is decieving anybody. That what their machine says...My opinion again...;)

ponjohn......no dishes for me. This is going to be a strickly track motor.Haven't figured CR yet, but it will up there To make the most out of a solid roller cam..... I believe my CR with the 74's on my 462 was about 11.8-1 prior to milling .030..Maybe 12+ now on 462. I got the smaller cc heads as Jeff said I could have them opened up to 87cc down the road if needed...

Nope I haven't been there yet. It's almost the same distance from here to there as Calgary is to here.

I must be doing something wrong.

My Cast Iron Number 16s never flowed over 240 cfm (not 310 cfm), were heavier naturally vs aluminum heads, and the car went 11.55 at 117+ mph. No offense but a 310 head should make over 600 hp if the engine was right. (Like mid 10s on the et).

Car was my 64 GTO convert (before I hurt the frame) LOL.

Car would do 1.62 60 ft times if the tires would hook. Small 9" tire as I did not cut up the car. Yes, it had a good engine in it. Drove on the street BUT not a trip car. I averaged 5 mpg on a 150 mile trip one time. That engine probably never made over 450 real HP.

Fat Finger! LOL

Tom, they didn't make a GTO in 1960...

Tom you're also assuming the car was cam'd properly. Maybe he has 310cfm heads with an 068 cam. No way it's gonna make 600hp with that cam - naturally aspirated.
