It seems to me about the only way to get them is get a lawer involved ,or at least you get moved to the head of the line once he gets a letter from one.

To bad this hobby couldnt come up with a meditator type system for resolving these issues.
Say a person or co wants to sell on a website or in the hobby, they would have to agree to standards set by someone that included this provision when a problem arises.

Its sometimes in employement contracts when two parties cant resolve some issue.

At one time, wasnt there a Pontiac parts council (?) being formed for vendors in the Pontiac market/ hobby? I think it was for promoting new products but could it be used for this purpose: disputes over not getting product that were paid for, also?

Often (imo) it seems like one party is not able to fullfill the orders due to raw material costs (cant purchase) or the facility/equipment is not available anymore to actually make them, or many other reasons.

If this were available, and say the vendor if unable to fullfill the order(s) he could pay restitution to the meditator or council for disbursing to the injured people, even if it were just a few dollars a month and it took ten years.
Better then nothing.

Getting attorneys involved is throwing your money away if the person is tapped.
I think sometimes its hard for someone to step up and communicate with people he/she worked with and may consider friends in the hobby. Embarrassment, fear, hoping it goes away, good intentions that will not happen, all come to mind for not taking the first step for repayment.

Im not saying this is the case with the valve cover maker, just in general.
My two cents.

Default Holiday in Maine

Since I am between jobs and have plenty of frequent flier miles it may be the perfect time to visit one of the few states I haven't been to.

I've got a free place to stay in Grand Manan Island so I think that a 170 mile road trip north along US Hwy 1 to visit Mark and his family is would be in order.

I know that some of you guys have phone numbers for Mark's family and some addresses so please send me private messages and lets see if something can get something accomplished.
