71 Subframe bushing placement
Reinstalling the subframe in my firebird and need to know if thicker bushing goes at firewall or at rear position? No instructions included and I have forgotten which goes where.

I asked the same question...
Hope this answer your question Here is the answer that worked for me: The bushings go in this order in the bottom two pics below: As shown below, it should be FRONT, MIDDLE, BACK- (RAD SUPPORT, FIREWALL, BACK OF SUBFRAME UNDER CAR). It sort of surprised me that the small ones went to the back as well, but they do.

Subframe Bushings
I just replaced mine yesterday with the subframe and core support on the car. With a bit of persuasion it when very smoothly. Thanks for the tips.

recently I installed the sub frame under my '70 firebird. The bigger, thicker bushing goes under the firewall mounting point. The smaller one goes to the end of the sub frame under the floor pan. If you want I can take a few pictures.
