Nothing like fresh paint
Just out of the paint booth and now with the motor in the frame rails...nice not to have front sheet metal out front when stabbing a motor. Motor was done in less than an hour.
What do you think? Motor arrives on Saturday Motor and tranny going in It's in Wayne S

The power is coming from a 65/389 punched out to accept standard bore 400 pistons and a mild cam under a later intake so I can pick and chose my carb.
Tranny-dujour is a 200-4R with a .67 final drive from a GN...should hold up, but I am trying to figure out how to run the shift cable with very little clearance through the floorboard hole. I really like the looks of the Torq Thust D's and when everything is loaded in the car I'm going to take it down to the local shop and try on a set of 235/60/17" and see how they fit. My biggest concern on that is the "calculated" 1450 RPM at 60 mph in overdrive with the 3.08's in there now...I really think I need to find a set of 3.55 or 3.73, but until I drive it and see how she runs, I'll wait.
