Flexplate question
I know the gear is different, but are all flexplate torque converter bolt patterns the same?
I am sticking a 200 4R behind a 389 and wanted to know before I ordered one. Wayne S

Not all converter bolt holes are the same but the flexplate will have holes drilled in it in different spots to match different converters------ BOB

Also the 2004R converter is the same bolt pattern as the 700R4, 350, and original 2 speed Pontiac. I believe that all stock Pontiac flexplates were drilled for both the 400 pattern and the smaller pattern - at least they were in 1967. My 2004R bolted right up to the flexplate after taking out my T400.
