Luscious Lemon I bet. LOL Looks nice Wayne. You don't see too many yellow Lemans or GTOs out there, and I do like the yellow look.

Did most of the bodywork myself except for the final sanding which I left to the body shop before primer/paint. The tranny tunnel was butchered when the PO pulled the original 326 engine/4-sp tranny and plopped in a Turbo 350 behind a mid-seventies Pontiac 350. It had been hit in the rear and the repair job from that was third rate at best. Quote:

I actually took two glovebox doors and had one painted the 2008 'Vett color and the 2008 Mustang color. I put the pair of them on the back deck railing and after about a week noticed the Mustang had more green, almost like having yellow covered in Pine tree pollen. The motor is a 389 from a 1965 Catalina and punched out to accept stock 400 pistons (cost effective...cheaper pistons and it cost the same to bore at the machine shop). Not sure on the wheel combo until I figure what rear to put behind the 200 4R...leaning towards 16" in something classic like Torq Thrust-D's Wayne S |

I had my car first in '82 in H.S,sold it in '89 and bought it back in '98 I think.Since then I have been picking up parts, updating as I get a chance and looking for someone good and reasonable to do the body on my car.The last part of course is the most difficult.
I admire anyone that can do all the body stuff himself!I can't do it but I finally found a good guy here. It's an individual and he is letting me help which also helps with cost but it will take a while. Keep updating pics Wayne! |
