Question fender extensions

Should the fender extensions (under the headlamp bezels and behind the bumper) be painted body color or black?

Since you can see them under the headlamp, bezel they should be painted body color. If we are talking 67 model year.

A controversial topic, just as is firewall paint above the seam (though most will tell you Pontiac was the only factory that did that).

I have a factory line pic showing them semi-gloss black. They abutt the grille surrounds which are black, and IMO look pretty good that way. It might have been a factory specific deal as well. If you're going for originality, find what the majority of cars built at your plant are doing. Mine is a Baltimore car and I painted (or powdercoated actually) them semi-gloss black.

So I noticed...the shop didn't paint them when they painted the car so I was concidering a different color incase I couldn't match the paint.

Not sure off the top of my head where she was put together...does the VIN give that information or do I need to look at the body tag? (237676P319xxx)
