67 GP convert need help
I am doing assembly and need help with a couple of items:
1. The first pic is a relay that was originally hanging under the dash near the parking brake assembly. Does anyone know what it is? The car originally had power windows, A/C, tilt, power top, power antenna, but no power seat. I have an old picture I took that shows a red wire connected to the third terminal. 2. The second is a PM420AB Convertible battery cable lead junction block, per the Ames catalog. I don't recall seeing one on my car anywhere? Does anyone know where it is mounted? Does anyone know where it gets it power feed from and what it supplies power to? 3. The last pic is a relay or breaker (the one on the right) that I bought sometime back that was in a GM box. My car had a similar one that was mounted on the outside of the firewall, under and to the right of the left side hood hinge. It appears to be a relay that is fed direct from the battery to something? Does it have a direct feed from the battery or from the fuse block? What does it provide power to? Perhaps it is a replacement to item #2 and it is a breaker instead of a relay? Power top breaker? Any ideas are appreciated. It is a bitch trying to sort things out that you disassembled over 5 years ago, plus some that I didn't take apart and now trying to sort out. Also, does anyone have a wiring harness that connects to the A/C and heat relays (3 total) under the hood for a car with ATC? |

The one on the right is what is on my 67 GTO convertible firewall in the area you describe. I am fairly certain is it a battery connection to the power top motor lead.
I don't "think" I have the relay in the first pic. I have no power options other than the top.

The one on the firewall with the lug on it, is the horn relay. The one under the dash is either going to be the power top relay or the power window relay. The junction block one you got from Ames I've never seen on an old car. I've seen them on cars in the eighties but not the sixties or seventies.

I'll take a picture of my setup to see what I have. The harness is hanging apart from the firewall now as I repainted that but it is all still connected.

The one that was on the parking brake is for the power windows.
The one on the firewall feeds the power top and seat on my car.

That's not a relay, it's a circuit breaker, 40 amp.

Thanks for the clarification! I think It is the only thing that is between my battery and my top switch.
