Here is the ad, as a legit 69 trans am owner please don't give me grief I know there is no pic of the trim tag or pic of P.H.S.

Vin number plate color
Is the vin number plate that mounts to the dash painted the color of the dash or is it black. My interior is blue and the dash is blue. the sand blastin removed the color from the plate, but the color under the dash where the rivits go is black. Also, are the rivits painted or natural color? Thanks

supposedly you couldnt
Theres been a couple cases of D80 stamped on the cowl tag of non TAs but so far no one has come up with a legit non TA w/TA rear spoiler-ed car.The silver prototype may be the only exception to this, and this car doesnt appear to have any of that going on.IF it were that special why no pic of the Data Plate? Has anyone asked for a pic thru E bay?

Would the D80 show up on the PHS or just the build sheet?

good question
and also ponder this if its not listed in the options how would it be priced? It was part of the WS-4 package so dont see how it could separated out.

Looks to be a nice car, but I just get the impression that it was just built to the owners wish list.
There is no proof either written or shown that it is an original HO car or the wing/RA option came on the car originally. Could be wrong, but the ad seems to be written specifically to avoid stating the car has any original to the car equipment.

so do we need to revisit the D80(or B80) non TA discussion?
On this one until we see some kind of proof I say NOT.

Looking at the restoration photos in the add, it appears that at one point the car was white with a blue rear tail panel and blue stripes over the roof. Might be a TA or a TA clone. The spoiler doesn't have the pads on the bottom of it so it might be a reproduction.
