This great book on Firebirds from 1967-79 is a first edition, first printing book from 1979. It is in excellent condition. Please disregard lower shadows on book cover as it is my camera's reflection. Book has no tears, stains or any issues. Real nice!
This book is a must have for the serious Firebird enthusiast. It covers the history and development of the first and second generation F-body Firebird, including production numbers and data for base, Esprit, Formula and Trans Am models. Year-by-year changes are chronicled in the text, and several sidebars are included for discussing topics related to the Firebird's development (i.e., the XP 833 prototype, Fire Am's, Mecham Macho T-As, etc.) in every chapter. The chapters' (1-7) titles are: The Firebird's Ancestry, Hatching the First Generation, The First Generation Year by Year, Developing the Second Generation, Second-Generation Firebirds, Firebirds on the Track, and The Trans Am. The book covers provides many "inside" details of the Firebird's development from the engineers and designers who developed/created the Firebird, including John DeLorean, Bill Collins, Herb Adams, Bill Porter, John Schinella ("Mr. Trans Am"), John Folden, etc. $25 plus $5 shipping |
