I've got a Lincoln Wirematic 250 ... probably 30 years old, I use the same wire and same gas. Course I have a habit of welding on freshly blasted metal that still has sand dust embedded in it

That is exactly what I was thinking about. Thanks for Sharing.

Its interesting to see this on an A-body. With my 68 Firebird There is a 2nd crossmember used.
