RPM Crankshafts?
What can you all tell me about RPM cranks in general and the DG3-455A4000C in particular? It's supposed to be a 4" stroke, 3" main forging with Chevy rod journals.
Not much info out there about these. Anyone run one or have any experience with them? One thing I notice looking at it is there's a helluva divot around the oil passages (cross-drilled). The surface of the journal is very obviously not flat immediately surrounding the chamfer.

I have one still sitting in the box from Ken when he was shutting down. Mine is 3" main, 4" stroke with Pontiac rod though.
Am interested to hear what issues there are.... |

there was a machining issue with the 1-2-3 mains. They had to grind it 10 and had to move the radius back on the front 3.4 and 5 were good.Just check the cranks carefully, nothing that could not be fixed.I believe this was a 3in main 4 in stroke Pontiac J crank.Tom
