I posted a poll with a few options on the clock face. Feel free to post opinions on your choices including colors. In the end, we may not all agree and I will make the call on it if needed.

Thanks!!

Default Clock suggestion.

I would love one!
MY suggestion would be to change Ventura to Catalina Ventura. Becuase it is. And oh yeah. Because I have one.
Anyway. A great idea. You see clocks all over but never one devoted to the Darksiders.
I like the blue neon but either is fine.
Thanks for this and put me down for at least one.

I've been withholding my opinion on this, but to me it is an awful butchered ripoff of artwork that I spent dozens of hours creating.

OK, I feel better now.
Carry on...

Say no more. No clocks will be produced at this point. I was not trying to make a dime on this deal, only trying to produce something for the full size pontiac fans. Thanks for your interest!

You should produce the clocks. It's a great idea.

You were soliciting opinions. You got an opinion from the guy who created the artwork you stole. Go ahead and produce the clocks. There seems to be some interest.

I certainly don't own the Darksiders idea. A few years ago I produced a logo using copyrighted GM-owned names and logos and made a few bucks off it, so I can't sit here and tell anyone what to do. But I did as a graphic artist spend hours agonizing over font selection, element spacing, kerning, colors, etc., to make my "Darksiders" logo perfect, and now to me it looks butchered. That's all.

It'll be on a handful of clocks, and the guys seem to like it.

Carry on.

Perhaps something could be arranged where the gentleman is given any credit due through some means that would be satisfactory to him, even reasonably proposed by him? Just a thought . . .

Respectfully submitted . . .

No sour grapes here. I went to Engine-Ear (Matt) to ask his opinion about making the clock and to get some ideas. The one the pople like the best is the one that he actualy put together with the 8 lug. I thoguht of this as something that everyone could give an opinion on and would have something fun to hang in their garage. Matt thought there would not be any issues..............i guess there is.

All of the mock ups were just that. Not trying to step on toes so I am out. Like i said, not trying to make a dime on this deal so if anyone wants to run with feel free but I am out. I can see where you are upset, but this was done out of pure goodness of the hoby. The total cost for each clock is $27.11 + $250 shipping + $50 setup fee and must have a min run of 50. So I was going to front $1655 of my own money and sell them at cost. My estimate was $37 each plus shipping and would have been right on with the cost of having shipping boxes made for them. Anyone that wants to put this together, feel free to stick hours of work into not making a thing for people on this site only to be knocked down..........you can email roya@ontheedgemarketing.com and he will proceded with the order once the "artwork" is determined at the same costs as I have listed above. By the way, a PM or email or phone call would have been decent.

I have said repeatedly to go ahead with the clocks. No sour grapes. You have some time invested in this. There is interest. Nobody is going to get rich selling Darksiders stuff.

I only said that you maimed my logo. People still like it.

Go for it.
I'm out.

Post my $0.02...

The artwork in which most folks have expressed a preference is what I mocked up, and it was based on the cast aluminum plaque that I oversaw the production of in 2012.

While Bill (UPC-WU2) did all of the computer manipulation (all that went into creating the .PDF) on that endeavor, if memory serves, the plaque artwork was something that he and I collaborated on.

Based on my direct involvement with the creation of the plaque artwork (again, I am not referring to either the shirt artwork or the decal), I (for one) felt comfortable using it in Brad's clock project. In hindsight, I should have called Bill and gotten his endorsement before submitting the mock-up.

Bill (UPC-WU2), I would like to apologize to you publicly for not doing that.

As for the fate of the clock project, it's in Brad's hands. I also feel that he is to be commended for his efforts to do this at all, and then to be willing to pull the plug on it so as not to create a rift between anyone here.

I'm not trying to be a bad guy and derail this project. I only said that my logo looks mangled. Since then I have expressed repeatedly to go ahead and produce the clocks. People obviously like the idea and there's support.

Go for it.

The very first thing I was concerned about was stepping on someones toes. I called Matt and discussed this very issue an thougth we were good to go. It feels like there is an issue and the last thing I would want is someone to be upset about this.

As far as the logo or artwork, the designs are simply mock ups and are open to anyones input. The clock that i took a photo of was simply a print out put under the neon and was done fairly quickly and as stated is not a finished product.

How about this. Bill, you and Matt can create the face of the clock so the "artwork" is up to your standards and I'll front the cash? Or if you want, you can take the project and run with it yourself?

At this uncertain point in time I would like to ask, where will be the origin of manufacture of these clocks?

Bill and I are emailing and I think we have cleared things up.

As far as the clocks, unfortunatly, at this price, they are made in China but they are completed in CA. I did look around for made in the USA, but cost would be well over $100. I know some people may pay that, but not enough to do a min order run on them.
