Well, Here she is in all her glory. Shes all back together and just a couple tweaks and a little cleaning and she ready to Rock. thanks again to Diego and Boss for posting that sheet that shows only 71 built. A pretty rare car if you like 72's. She looks great sitting next to my 1 of 74 400 4spd convert. Great pair of his and hers cars..
Now I just need some rich guy to buy them both and keep the pair together. Do I put the 72 white stripes down the side or leave it classy in blue. Id like to stripe it but am asking for a few opinions.

Outstanding! Looks great Don, nice work. Stripe will totally change the car, not sure, but it may be too "busy" with the lower lux trim on there too. Which one? Whale or GT stripe?

Im thinking whale stripe only. Your right it will be too busy if you put a stripe below the creases. it will be too close to the LL mouldings. but if above the creases it might just really put the car over the top.

I even thought about a 69 judge stripe in white/red/black would look tough. Or maybe the 71 gt37 stripe in white and red. I want to look great but also don twant to junk up all the work thats been put into it.

What do you mean by this? The Luxury trim? to fit the rear wheel well moldings?

Love the car Don - very well done!

Best thing about the stripes is if you or somebody else doesn't like them, they are easy to take off. Throw it on and see how it looks!

Yeah,It was a tough decision leaving them off as i really liked them on. But most people who looked at it last year when i took it to the PY show said very cool car but those skirts are ugly so im going with people on this one. The skirts are painted and in the trunk with the hardware bagged and taped to the backs. I like it this way now.

These cars dont come with rear wheelwell trim because of the skirts. So i took a pair of original mouldings that come on a non luxury lemans and cut them like the fronts. They dont go all the way to the bottom. they stop at the side mouldings that only come on this model. I love those mouldings by the way. they are very classy.

I love the 72 t-41 option, the way the grills are set back. The 71 GTO grills being to the front,i dont care for.I bought a set of 72 Lemans grills to replace the Lux Lemans grills,to the front again.I may just blast and paint the Lux grills Black to see if i like it more after looking at your pics.
