70 Trans Am shaker drain hose
Hey Guys, anyone know what size and material the drain hose is for a 70 trans am.

For 1972 it was molded and part #481702, possibly similar. Just had that manual nearby.

All 70-76 shakers use the same drain hose. They are straight and approx 23 inches. We have never been able to find a part number for the actual hose. Molded hoses first came into play with Olds powered cars. Using the search function on this forum will provide you with plenty of information on past findings

Looks like a Pontiac/ GM number used to identify a sourced fastener. Bolts and clips done same way. At the dealership we had rolls of sized hoses in clear, gas, heater AND breather types.
I changed a few of these and just had part manager chop off 2 ft from a sample I gave him. Used fuel line a few times. Usually glued as clamps broke the nipples.

According to my research Bruce is correct and it came in bulk rolls. I had a reference of 23 inches at one time. In spite of the 70-76 shaker nipple size being 5/8 the hose is 1/2 ID. Curiously the nipple size changed to 1/2 on the second design shaker in 77
