Default 68-69 timing index

Is there a difference between the 1968 and 1969 timing covers on the 400 GTO engine in reguard to the timing index marks, or are they identical ? 12 degrees on a 1968 cover = 12 degrees on a 1969 cover exactly?? thanks z man

The degree marks for a specific timing mark are identical between years. Due to changes in gasoline and compression, later years had the marks extended to include more degrees. The real difference between 9790347 (68) and 69 covers are the 8-bolt vs. 11-bolt waterpumps and the internal diverter design.
