I figure that’s why they likely looked through a few blocks to find one that could handle an uncoventional bore size.

The pics of LSM lightened blocks I have seen were kind of scary with how much and where they took out the iron.
Chris in the article referred to a scarcity of blocks at the time. |

I'd be surprised...I think Chris would take ring seal over bore size.
He was also witness to Mike Leech adding stroke to increase power without losing available RPM. Just a guess though. |
