Angry Bent Vin

I tried to report this to ebay and got a bunch of BS in reply. I also sent a message to the seller, a "restoration shop", advising that this was a violation of federal law, but the item is still being listed. Buyer beware.

this is disturbing. i sent him this message:

"I'm building a '65 hardtop GTO clone. I don't have a title for it. I'd like to have proof that the original car was actually destroyed if you know what I mean (wink wink). Can you provide that proof? This tag is just what I need and VERY valuable if you can prove that. Thanks."

wonder what he'll come back with? i can't believe stuff like this.

no response to my question, but there was very little time left. i guess it's a little reassuring that it did not sell. maybe boyd coddington cut a deal on the side. didn't he get busted for that? still can't believe how blatant this was.

Maybe it was a setup by some authority. Would it also be illegal to buy something like that? I'm assuming yes, but I don't know....
