Default VALUE OF VERY ROUGH 69 GTO

I have a 69 GTO no motor, no trans, car is very rotted would need complete floor, trunk, body panels, missing hood, Was originally a 400, 3 speed manual car silver in color. Has the endura bumper, vin tag and cowl tag still nice, original rear end, firewall is nice, some glass still good, does roll. Not sure what to do with this car it is so far gone but does have vin and cowl tag and is a 242 real GTO anyone have a idea what it may be worth i may just part what is left i guess would be ideal for someone with a 69 Lemans that wants a GTO. The car is located in Ontario just a few minutes from Minnesota border. If anyone has a idea of what its worth or knows someone that may be interested please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Only the value of the parts. I would say a couple hundred dollars, more if the rear is a posi.

Read it again, but between the lines. He wants to know if someone is interested in buying the V.I.N. and cowl tag and what they are worth..

I don't see a market for that one.

Put it on EBay, that will give you a value.

Wow, muscle cars must still sell pretty cheap in some places. I don't think i have seen a rolling GTO with a vin and cowl tag in any condition for a couple hundred dollars for ages around here. I'll have to start checking Graigslist in your area for some deals.

What do you think it's worth - clearly you have a value in mind.

I really don't have a value in mind that's why i put the post up, just saying haven't seen a rolling GTO with tags in place in any condition for a couple hundred bucks for many years around here but maybe other places there are still some 60's and 70's GTO's that sell for a couple hundred bucks, but for that amount i can get more sending it to the shredder here. I'll throw it on ebay and whatever it goes for that's what its worth like the other poster suggested. Thanks

By the description, its value as a car is in its weight.

With a PHS invoice , clear USA State Issued title and crisp clean tags , there might be an enterprising Tempest Lemans owner who might give a couple or few hundred more than its value in weight.

If its titled in Canada - i don't think it will interest anyone in the USA to hassle the paperwork and border crossings for a base GTO pedigree.

No title - probably back to weight value again.
Good luck with it.

In my opinion it should be worth a visit from the local sheriff department for the guy that does the vin swap. We all know those tags are going to be used in a dishonest way.

You didn't say if the interior is in it. If the interior is all there and it has
bucket seats and a complete assembled dash in decent shape I'd say it's worth
more than 500.00 if the endura is good enough to use. If the endura is in decent
shape that's worth 500.00 by itself. If all it is is a shell with bumpers and no interior
I'd say 500 sounds about right.

Thanks for that actually sold the front seats a while back got around 500 for those. I had a guy come and take a look at it he has a couple GTO from 69 and knows the value of parts. He did say there is a lot of stuff still on the car thats worth good money including the endura bumper as you stated should sell for about 500, also drip rails are nice passenger side is perfect couple small dents on drivers side, glass, window regulators, steering column not a tilt but still worth something, dash is still in car pad is shot but heater box, heater controls, wiring harness, all there, glove box door, actually a lot of stuff that is still in good condition, he also said he is sure someone with a 69 Lemans would be interested in some stuff also. I guess i will just keep parting and put the stuff on ebay, also i think i still have the rear seat from the car. Anyway thanks for the help.

I agree that it is worth the value of the salvageable parts.
