Default Help with wheel and tire size

Getting ready to order a set of cragar eliminator wheels for my 68 gto, planning on going with 225/70/15 on 15x7 in front, 255/60/15 on 15x8 in rear. Any fitting problems .

I had the 255 on the back of my blue 66. Had to lift the car just a wee bit to make clearance. Had the same size wheel. Why the 225/70 in front? I know a lot of guys use a 215/65 on front instead (which is what I did). that 225/70 may look to big.

My guess is the 225/70-15's will rub.
I use 215/70-15 on mine and they nearly rub. I recently swapped from 245/60-14 Cragar S/S to 15 inch front wheels. I wanted to get away from 60 series front tires because I disliked the way the car drove and rode. After a good bit of research I came to the conclusion that the 225/70's were going to rub and be a bit to tall (looks wise). I ended up going with the 215/70's....which admittedly are fairly skinny, but look right to my eye, height-wise.
Current set-up is 215/70-15 on 7" Cragar S/S on the front and 255/60-15 on 8" Cragar S/S on the rear.

It sounds like 215/70/15 is the way to go
