today i discover a small leak of oil and i belive that its coming from the valve covers. so im going to change the gaskets to see if that fix the problem i look in my repair book and on one page it says " valve cover 72 in-lbs" and on the page the it tells you how to put them on they say nothing about that it just say do not over tighten but it doesnt say anything about about the 72 in lbs. i think that i might be reading this wrong. sorry that its long

1970 GTO shop manual states:
