Default Header size with Pro-Charger

What size header would I need when using a Pro-charger around 1200-1300hp on a street car? All I have access to 2" headers & need to know if I should look for other headers? Or if I can get by with these 2"

Not to be mean in any way with saying this but if you yourself have the knowledge to put together a motor that will be capable of 1300 hp and live then you should not have to ask a question like this, on the other hand if a shop is doing the motor for you top to bottom then they should be telling you what size tubes to get!

I'm assuming round port heads? If so what is the largest diam. tube you can get bolted up? I would try a stepped header. 2" to 2-1/4". 2" will work but may hold you back a little.

2" plumbing is not going to make it. Stepped Headers will fix the issue.
2-1/8" right off of the heads, then 2-1/4" for 12", then 2-3/8" for the rest of the length to the collectors.

Plumb the pipes so that the Passenger side pipes discharge into the collector in a clockwise direction as each cylinder fires.

Plumb the pipes so that the Driver's side pipes discharge into the collector in a COUNTER-clockwise direction as each cylinder fires.

Install Merge Cones in the space between the tubes where they meet in the center. 4" long

That system was good enough for a 1350 HP 347 CID Engine at 9000 rpm engine in the late 90s and was worth 3 tenths on the Centrifugal Supercharged Engine/vehicle.

Well from "experience" at around the 900-1,100 HP level I gained a little bit over 2 tenths going from 2" headers to 2 1/4" headers (with NO other changes)........so 2 1/4" will work fine, my BOOST numbers stay consistent ALL through the 1/4 mile pass. I still have my 2 1/4" in my engine at around 1,200 HP. The BIGGER the BETTER

At that power level, I suggest getting custom headers and making them as large as practical. You may need a cam designed to open the exhaust valve a bit earlier, if you end up running "smaller" tubes.
