Default 71 Formula wiper arms/blades

I may need to replace the wiper arms and blades for my Formula. I opened the Ames catalog and all they have is black. What color should they be? I assumed they were unpainted stainless like on my base 70 Firebird? When I bought my 71 Formula, all of the chrome on the car was blacked out (an 80's thing I guess), as were the wiper blades. That's why I'm not sure what color they are supposed to be.

Thanks
Dave

Does the drivers side have an articulating arm?

Not sure. I'll have to go check. Just got my car back from a body shop a few days ago. And I'm not even sure if I have the old ones any more. Long story there. I'll check in the morning. It's cold outside.

I can tell you that I didn't have the recessed wipers before but would like to add them.

The articulating arm is part of the "recessed" wiper option....

As I recall, the unpolished stainless arms are non-recessed and the recessed arms are black with longer blades...

To convert, you need to change motor, arms, transmission & switch...

OK. Thanks. What happened is I had my car at a body shop where it was taken apart. The guy did a crappy job. Then died before he was finished putting it back together. So I got a phone call saying I had a couple hours to get my car and all my parts out of his shop. I guess everyone else got that call too. When I got there, quite a few cars were already gone. I grabbed all the parts for my car that I could find and tossed them in my truck. Then put the car in a friends trailer. I've been going through the pile of parts and am missing a few things. If these don't turn up, I'll probably look at this an an opportunity to upgrade to the recessed wipers. BTW, the whole car needs to be painted again.

Here's a link to my pics.
