I wish channels like MeTV or some other would/could show the "old" wholesome Disney classics (Hardy Boys - Mouseketeers, the nature shows with the great voice of Rex Allen, remember "The Wonderful World Of Disney"?, etc.), as well as all the great Disney classic movies.

Yes I do remember you those Disney movies. Today’s children get very little of the good stuff...

Bob little side comment, Lorne Greene I always think of John Facenda or the other way around.

Unlikely to see that. Disney is a very protective of its products. I imagine the only place to see anything related to Disney would be the Disney Channel

He sang the song "Ringo" back when I was young. It was about a gunfighter named Ringo.

My Dad and I also watched Laredo. The early episodes were the best, as the National PTA came down hard on NBC for the “excessive violence” of the show and they tamed it down then. It was one of the few shows where William Smith play a good guy character. The way he and Chad teamed up against Reese was hilarious, but all in good fun.

Also, just for the heck of it, does anyone know how many bad guys were killed by The Lone Ranger? The answer may surprise you.

A couple of the older shows (but not as old as most mentioned here) that I liked I bought the DVD's for. Rockford Files (started watching because of the Firebird), Hogan's Heroes, X Files (I really like SciFi), Columbo. The first couple of seasons of Rockford he was getting knocked out every or every other episode. After that many in real life a person would be a vegetable. My wife also mentioned that in the older shows there was a lot of cigarette smoking.

“Who was that masked man?”
“I don’t know but he left this.”
(Wonderingly) “A silver bullet!”
