Right from Dick's auction

Question & Answer Answered On

Q: hello. can you tell me the asking price for your trans am. I am also looking for a 1973 trans am SD in brewster green with manual trans can you help. regards john Oct-20-07

A: John - I don't have an asking price, it's an auction. I have a reserve and I'll keep that to myself for now. Let's just say that I won't part with it for less than something close to the reserve. As for a '73 SD manual in green, never cared for them, looks like dirty pond water. Red is much nicer! Seriously, one sold a few weeks ago for $123k I think. It was an original car but needed a lot of clean up to be nice. IF you can find one be prepared to pay at least that so I consider mine a bargain! Sorry, I do not know of one for sale at this time and since they only made something less than around 30 or 35 (out of the 72 total manual '73 SD's), they don't come along every day!

How's that Bob?

Alright, someones got to stick up for Buc Red here. I agree with the Pond water statements. That's probably why less Brewster greens were ordered. Here's how I look at it.. These cars are loud and have attitudes. Buc Red is a color that upholds the attitude of a T/A. T/A's look better in red than green. Brewster green is just too sudued for these cars. Plus, I dont like the clors of the chicken on the green cars. Sorry Brew. JMO

Thanks bigghooch, good idea.

Brew - You know I love ya man, just kidding, your cars are beautiful and you know it. Couldn't resist the "pond water" comment though.

I've had quite a few questions today for info, a price, want to buy it now, got to have it and so on. Have lots of "watchers". Maybe the activity will pick up by the weekend, we'll see. I'm inclined to let it ride.....

That's alright, I don't mind the jabs!
I knew that Buck Red comment would raise a little hell.

Oh, I don't know what ponds look like in Bloomfield Hills but they must be similar in St Charles as well.

Don't give in unless someone blows you tons of cash, let it ride!

Yep, my brother's sister looks like that....after her shower... Lord I apologize…..

Brewster Green; is it now going to be called DPW for the color code? Do we need to start restamping these cars on the body tags? Just kidding………..

Sorry Brew, Someone had to do it.

Buc is the best and Cam is second in command. JMHO.

Did somebody ask for his humble opinion?

Everybody knows that Admiralty Blue is the king of colors. Not sure what you guys are talking about. Anybody can win a car show with a red car.

Humble, at least my car isn't two tone!

Brewster rocks, and I dont have a problem being different compared to these guys who bought red cars to try and fit into society.
I like the blue too Bob, its half way to green.
Oh, and I think you hit a bone with Norwood on that Bezel ?

That was a good one Brew! LOL!
Actually everyone, Red and Green aside, my favorite is White. T/A's just look hot in White.

So, Brew, Superbob, Winks, PrueSD, Norwood, and all, what is the fastest color then?
Two tones included.

BTW Brewster, How hard dose that 4-spd SD pull in third at WOT?

Blue of course is the fastest color.

Norwood: Yes I saw your post about the bezels and I have been following along with great interest. Pontiac did some strange things in 1970. That year is about as inconsistent as it gets. Looks like I may owe you a beer as long as your car was built after late June or early July.
