Default If I order PHS, will it show the EUN?

My parents bought my 66 GTO new, and I have the Protect-O-Plate, but the digits that would show the EUN are all zeros. I already know it's the original engine, but if I order PHS, would it show the EUN?

Thanks,
Importsmasher

I don't think so in 66. I know 65's don't and 67's do, but maybe someone with a 66 will comment for sure.

Arrow Jerry H. is Correct

My 66 card does not show the EUN.

They do show the EUN on the card in 67.

Maybe it's a 400 thing?

Bummer. I was hoping that, since my protect o plate shows zeros, that the PHS would list the EUN. Oh well, I already know it's the original engine. Thanks guys!

If I'm not mistaken the EUN should be on the build sheet…perhaps it's still in the car somewhere

Hmmm. Hadn't thought of that. Gas tank has never been out....maybe it's time to drop it.

Nope. Not for '66.

Not for Pontiac Michigan, anyway. Other plants may vary.

It could be tucked in the springs of the backseat, or under it too. I found what was left of one tucked in the springs of the back of my backseat. Strange place for it but it's also possible the previous owner could have stuck it in there.

I have seen them in seat springs before, and on my 67 wagon, I found it behind one of the rear side interior panels. On my GTO, I've had the whole interior out at one time or another in the last 28 years; there is no build sheet inside the car. Gas tank is my only hope....

My car was built in Kansas City...

So are you saying that the ONLY way to absolutely prove the original engine in a 66 is to have it on the protect-o-plate? As stated, I already know it's original, as my parents bought it new; I was just hoping to have some absolute proof.

Oh well....

Not strange if you consider that the seats were built up in a remote area of the plant (the "Cushion Room") due to fire concerns.

The seat builders had to know the content of the vehicle and the build order so that the correct seats could be conveyed to the main line in the proper sequence.

In the end it was easier to build the seat up around the build sheet than it was to throw it away. Hence - they got left in the seat springs.

Not that I've seen 1000's of POP's, but I have seen 100's. But I've never seen one with all 0's for the EUN. That's pretty odd to me. Anyone else? Keith?

Here is a picture of mine...I started a thread a couple of years ago, asking if anyone else had zeros for the EUN, but nobody responded.

Apparently, the guy doing the stamping was feeling lazy that day.

I have heard of it before....but it may have been this specific car.

No EUN for my 66 on my PHS for my 66. I know the gas tank has been out so Im not holding my breath to find the build sheet there but I plan to take out the interior this winter so Im crossing my fingers its in the back seat.

I did find it in the back seat of my blue 66 LeMans though. Its like finding a buried treasure when you find it though
