Default PRW flywheel require excessive shim?

Swapped in 5 speed and 11” clutch from 10.5 and Muncie w factory cast iron wheel. Same starter had no issues before with minimal shim. It appears I am
Going to have to come along way out to get it to mesh properly and quietly. Is this common w the PRW flywheel? I had zero issues with the PRW flex plate in my other car

I've used PRW flexplates on two cars without issue also. No experience with a manual flywheel. What is the extra thickness you need?

Turned out to be mostly starter. Swapped in a rebuilt one from stock and added a few other shims. Spins much better. I bet I’m in the .125” range shim wise
Thanks for input

My starter in my race car with a PRW flexplate is shimmed 0.120" for a perfect fit and works well.
