Because I asked my magic 8 ball... 700hp is not a hard target to hit. I have it 3 1/2 times that with a Pontiac..

I learned a long time ago (after many exploded 12 bolts), DANA of 9" are the only ways to go if you want to be IN the car, not under it. And I have built quite a few cheap, reliable, 9 inchers on a poor man's budget. Quick Performance was one of the ways I kept it affordable. That guy is awesome.

Yes I like Quick Performance.

I have stock GM cast 12 bolts here with mostly stock internals that live fine at 1.5 60's in 4000 lbs. cars so they are plenty for most street cars.. The Strange piece, you aren't going to break it. That's a completely new casting center section, and larger tube diameter, it's about 100 lbs. heavier than an OEM 12 bolt. With 33 spline setup, billet caps, a 1350 yoke and a support cover, it's stronger than your run of the mill 31 spline 9 inch. To build a 9 inch stronger you need to go aftermarket and you'll spend just as much money in the end.
I abused this 12 bolt behind a very stout 6 speed car and it never flinched with 5,000 rpm clutch dumps.

Shucks dad is still running a stock OEM 12 bolt behind his 724hp 571 ci GTO. It's nothing but a stock GM posi that is rebuilt, and a set of Strange 30 spline C-clip eliminator axles. That car hooks and books, stupid fast on the street. I don't sweat that rear at all. It's been in that car going 1.5 60's for the last 20 years at a 4,000 lbs. race weight and has always had a drag radial on it.

Here's a stock GM 12 bolt with good internals getting abused regularly in a 69 Z with a stick. He runs in the same UMTR class I used to run. This car is still street driven.

These are 7,000 rpm clutch dumps, shifting around 75-7600.
