Very cool

Not 165 hp anymore.

That's a sweet 75 conv. !
I had one for 5 years and sold her to buy my 67 Vette in 1986. I think I still have a few dealer sales information notebooks you maybe interested in?!
I'll try to locate them.
I purchased my 75 from a former salesman that took all those folders from the dealer he worked for.

Mine is a '67 convertible, and I have two optional hard tops with it. One is painted, one is vinyl covered. Vinyl was only offered in '67.
Right now it's waiting for body work and paint, and when finished next year it should look much like the restored blue example pictured. It's an original Elkhart blue and Teal combo, currently in primer. It has the L79 engine/ 4 speed option, with a half dozen other options, including p/s and a/c. It was a one owner Oklahoma car until 2017.

I have the carb for my BIL old '67 vette believe it is Elkhart blue. I've ask the current owner if he want's to sell it but he doesn't. Doesn't want the carb either? That's me about 45 years ago.

I have a 66 350 HP 327 4 speed roadster. It has mild flares, a black vinyl 67 hardtop, 8 1/2 “ vintage Americans, a 67 427 GM hood, chromed cowl vents and a teak wheel. Motor is balanced and blueprinted with a snotty cam that makes that 3x2x7 scream bloody murder! This car was modified to this configuration in the year 1969 and I would change anything about it for anything.

Ya gotta love a 67 Vette !
Best of luck with the winter project!
The vinyl hardtop option was available from 67-75 under code C08

Thanks stuta. In hindsight I should have posted that 67 was the first year of a vinyl top and the only year for a C2. I have the tank sticker, so I know that mine was optioned with the painted top. My plan is to restore both tops. Mine was also built with a white soft top, but I plan to go with the teal option. Those will be the appearance deviations from stock.

So far the only performance deviations from stock are the Hurst shifter and linkage I've installed, along with some serious head work, pistons and the cam. I also have a full 2.5" exhaust system on it. My am/fm has been converted to digital and has an improved dual cone speaker. Otherwise I expect it to appear stock.
My next dilemma is original style white walls or red lines?

I vote red lines! Looks classy, makes folks wonder.... Red line tires?

Very nice!!!

Great choice on the engine! I don’t understand why more folks don’t build a SBC 400. Revs like a small block, torques like a big block.

There's no choice on that one.....RED LINES ! : )
I have had both on my 67 Vette, and the red lines look so much better.
Mine is Marina blue, with a white soft top and a bright blue int. Mine never had a hardtop from the factory. It's a 427, and has a white "stinger" on the hood too.
Maybe an obvious statement, but only get radial tires! Some Vette guys put on the old bias ply junk for that original look....NO WAY. The ride will suffer greatly, and probably put your ride in a ditch.
Cheers

I’ve owned a 66 convertible, 77 L-82, 86 coupe and an 07 coupe. Great cars, but with granddaughters, a 70 Lemans Sport convertible does the trick!

Default C3 (for now)

Currently have a 65 Goat Coupe. Had a 65 and a 66 back in the day.
Purchased a 79 C3 when I retired for another project. Turns out it didn't need very much work.
The fit and finish on the Vette is less than terrible. No comparison in 60's sheet metal and 80's fiberglass. It is fun to drive when the weather is good. Otherwise the cockpit is very hot and the 79 a/c is pretty lousey. It's hard to work on and the parts are expensive. No one likes to work on them.
I have a brake issue that's been going on for 9 months at a , so far, cost of $1300.00.
Will be selling if I ever get the Damn thing fixed.

Yessir!

Been obsessed with the CS Vette ever since I first saw it. Searched high and low, near and far for one, but nothing ever came of it.

Told some guys on another forum I was looking for the parts, and he sent a link to them. Pretty crazy.

I have a build thread going on the Corvette forum. I haven't updated it in a while as I've been trying to finish another car, but I'll be on it again very soon...

Im very much considering selling my 1964 BBF/4 Speed Galaxie in the spring and buying a 68-72. Ive enjoyed the big Ford, but FEs are so stupid expensive. Just seems everything is harder/more expensive on the Ford. Power steering, pulley swaps etc.

Honestly the only thing that stops me is that by dog LOVES to ride, and she likes the bench seat in the old Gal. Seems silly probably, but I like my dog.

I used to have a C6, and really enjoyed it. Ive also considered taking the 30k I would put towards a C3 and just putting it towards a C8.

Pics of the Galaxie, please! We had a '64 Galaxie from '66 to '94 and it was an excellent car. 352 4v, A/C, PS. Reliable as an anvil and quiet as a tomb at 80 mph.
