Cool Restored Early Iron Points Distributor - A Thing Of Beauty

Recently had my original 1964 GTO points distributor restored and recurved by PY member Suntuned, it came out looking very nice. Even has a set of NOS Delco points installed in it.

This same 1111054 distributor was used for the first 3 years of GTO production. In 1964 & 1965 it was used on all of the GTO 389 engines both 4-barrel and Tri-Power. For 1966 it was used only on the 360 HP Tri-Power engines.

The 1111054 was used on the 1963 - 1966 421 engines as well. This one will end up on my 1964 421 HO, it was set up by Suntuned for a 9.3:1 compression engine with the 068 cam.

I never thought a distributor could look so good, until I saw this one......

Clear coated? No, not necessary.

The plating on it will age gracefully right along with the rest of the car as it gets driven.

Looks great! I've got two 409 distributors I need to kick over to him.

Smile Mechanical sculpture...

Beautiful, but too nice for actual use; best displayed on your workbench where only you could see it .

Thanks guys for makin a big deal about my junk.

Nah it's meant to be used... Built a bunch that look just like it, so I guess it has "siblings".

Runs just as good as it looks.

Not 100% correct, but REALLY functional.

Les it'd look real keen with your pic, nice setup!

Thanks to Bart for trusting me to work on it.

Hell, he didn't even yell about the timeframe it took me to get it back....
And he had plenty of time to do that.

I think I'd had it in my shop since about August of '68 when he sent it in! Lol

Shoulda seen it before I started on it.

Thanks for the opportunity to work on it again, Bart.
