Luckly it opens from the top and will clear the bumper, but the size is a problem here, the US size is a big no no, go figure...

And an update, I will receive a new glas from PY, I will give them that, usually there is no problems if they make a mistake, however, when you are outside the US you will still be left with the shipping charges, in this case the total shipping will be around 3 x the price of the complete top....
This is just to give you an idea of how important it is for the sales guy to do his job, I do really not know if I dare or can afford to buy from PY agian after this one (and it is not the first time it happends..) |

Great job! You got the overspray on the inside of the rim perfect.

Thanks Bill, I try to get it right
The Eastwood charcoral was a little darker than original but not so brownish that I thought it would be. The primer on the rear is pretty spot on, mixed to match by the paint shop. |

I was afraid of the brownish tint in the Estwood paint, not so bad |

Since I know you're striving for perfection. My memory and my GM Parts Books show the "Special Hex" lug nut, you have, were used from '68-'70. '71-'75 used a "Hex Crown", which is a standard lug nut with a stainless steel cap. My '72 has that kind.

Thanks Bill, Yes I know but this one was made late on the first day of production in august-70 and the ones that did come with the car when I bought it was the same (The ones on the picture are repros) so to my excuse I like to belive that this is the way it did leave the factory.
Any opinions ?? |

Got some repro rear lamps from Ames, looks ok.
New gaskets and blub`s, I import all my bulb`s from the US to get the correct values, the housing was painted before installation. I did also buy a screw set for the lenses from Ames, not so good, the screws are to short, ended up using the original ones. And done. |

The dash got new vent bezels, the old ones was not so bad but small details counts, and hopefully they will take some of the attention away from the bad parts..

I admire your dedication doing this overseas where shipping/VAT really makes it a different ball game.
Seeing those G70 tires and thinking to myself shipping must cost a fortune to Norway, probably half as much a tire. Do they get airfreighted? |

I did send them by sea due to the size, I guess the shipping charge by air would be close to 200 Usd for each tire... |

I have to make a little add on to the previous post..
This is also why it is so important for me to use supplyers that put some pride in their job, the previous mess up's by PY does cost my a fortune, sure the will correct it by getting the right parts but that is just a small part of the total when you add my costs in shipping and VAT and not atleast lost time. I do not think I am to hard to please really, all I want is to get the right parts the first time and that they are packed as small as possible.. |
