Default Want to buy a 71 formula need help

Got a chance to buy a 455 1971 formula. He said it is matching numbers and a saw the vin on the block. The number 1 looks like a 7 to me is that seem correct other than that the numbers match

the vin stamp should be down on the passenger side of the timing chain housing, and should be in this format:
21N123456
2 = Pontiac
1 = 1971
N = Norwood Ohio (assembly plant)
123456 = final six digits of vehicles vin
