Formula fenders are unique 70-72 are noticeable different then the later ones with brace. Yet, Firebird fenders are easier to find then TA ones.

It is a 400 4 bbl auto sun dance orange with a/c and a bunch more options I.e wheel lip openings etc

Yes pretty much '73 and up are very very similar.
Keep your fender, may need a brace or the front valence area bracket from it;.

The 1970 - 72 fenders don't have provisions for the brace from the fender to the core support. The brace was added in 1973 to allow the Firebird to pass the more stringent front impact regulations. If you want to be correct, you'll need a 1970 or 1972 fender, 1971s had a vent. The difference between the 73 and up vs 70-72 fenders is visible when you lift the hood.

1973 fenders had the bracket at the bottom for mounting the valance panel and provisions for the brace from the core support. They are one year only.

On 1974 and up fenders, you'll need to cut the bracket off of the bottom of your fender and have it welded on the new fender.

I have a super solid 1970 fender for $300. Shipping costs are brutal, so if you're close to NC you might want to consider it.

I understand wanting to remain anonymous, but if you wanted to make a small joke for other canadians, you could always fill out your location (in your profile) as "the centre of the universe" and we will all get it

Any 1973+ fenders can be made to work for your car, and most people will not know the difference;
Once installed the 1973+ units will be obvious (to the few of us) by the extra fender top provisions for the 1973+ fender-to-rad-support brace - incidentally all the service replacement 1970-1972 fenders were made with this same top.

The 1970-1973 fenders all have provisions for the lower valance, but if you have a donor fender with that part, it can be cut off, and welded to the new fender.

1971 non-Trans Am fenders are unique because they had an opening for the one year fender vent;

it's actually the capital of the 'state' of Ontario;

Some of the most red-necked Canadians that I have met at car shows were from Ontario.

the 'state' to the east is Quebec - that is the french part of Canada... and to the east of Quebec it gets predominantly english again...
