Default rear bumper bracket colour

Can anyone tell me what the correct colour for the rear bumper brackets should be on a '72? I'm seeing some in body colour and some in flat (or is it semi-gloss, it's hard to tell) black.
Thank-you
-A

Cheap black Alkyd enamel is what I have seen. Doesn't last long. Took a back bumper off a 73 at the dealer in 79 and it was almost all gone.

BTW, semi-gloss.
