Can a 70 carb on my 71 formula be factory?
My 71 Formula 400 which is VERY original has a 70 carb on it, The car was built the 1st week of May according to the trim tag. Could this be factory as its such an early car?

May build would be a late 71. How do you know the carb is a 70? What are the carb numbers?

Nice carb but not original to your car. This carb is for a 1970 455 4-speed GTO.

The production run for a model usually started in the second half of August.

I would think your 267 carb has some good value. I am not up on what they bring, however.
Is your car a 4-speed or an auto?

the correct carb to your would be:
auto = 7041264 manual = 7041263 the auto carb is relatively easy to find at a fair price, the manual car is quite expensive...
