Yes, 8020 would be the 68 FB nodular and some early 69’s, especially Van nuys cars

For the record my 69 Sprint convertible is a Lordstown build, mid December 1968. Unusual sidebar, the PHS invoice, nearly impossible to read, is from GMOO 5th Ave NY, NY. |

I’d have to search it There was a sprint hard top rotted ti heck in FB a while back w a posi on the PHS what ratio couldn’t tell you . May want to do a search maybe get lucky . I’m Always looking for these rear diffs. I know where there’s a 3020 but I can’t remember the ratio guys had it for ever. I’ll look back at my old texts and there’s another 3020 on here that was for sale w the perches having been moved for a second gen, may wanna do a search for that I was pretty sure I read somewhere the cut off for 3020 was into the 69 model year doesn’t mean it was correct. I know I’ve seen 5107s in Feb and March 69 birds. Oddly I’ve seen late 68 Julian date in March cars and I’ve seen early early first week of Jan 69 in Feb cars so idk if it was last in first out and first in last out or just a grab bag of whatever they could get to or what. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...hlight=9793020

3020 vs 8020 could be a casting flaw, will have to look at a couple of 68 nodular rears in FirebirdS to confirm

Agreed. I scrolled through a bunch of posts using a single search word each time, 3020, 8020, 5107, 5105, nodular, etc. Somebody had a close-up pic that looked like 8020 until I zoomed in a bunch.
Found a thread where you were looking for one in 2014-15. Did you ever find what you needed? |

Turbo, I took you advice about Facebook. A bit challenging not knowing where you're located. So I searched 500 miles from a few major cities. I dont6have FB anymore, but the listings do come up.
So I find a 1970 A-body nodular XK 3.90 rear for sale for $2K when I searched 500 miles around Chicago, in Lowell Indiana. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...tory_type=post I was only able to search about 20 minutes when login was demanded. Party's over for me for any more FB searching. Last edited by einstein; 09-12-2023 at 08:45 PM. |

I belive the car was in either mass or long island area , can’t remember the color brown or red maroon I think. All rotted. This was probably 3 or 4 months ago but had seen it a few times when I looked I don’t have fakebook either can’t stand it, but went on when a buddy was over a couple times looking for some parts for him and saw that car. That’s about all I can tell you other than I’m pretty sure it was a 69 sprint 6 w a posi still intact. If I can get on again in the near future I’ll take a look through and see if I can locate the car for you.
I remember thinking it might be worth taking a run out to see it just for the rear diff but I ended up with another one right after in parts lot I picked up.
