What did we see?
Last night wife and I were sitting by the fire, I looked up and saw a perfectly straight line of lights evenly spaced, about the same brightness of some stars, moving south. They were disappearing behind the tree line, so we don't know how many we missed, but figured we saw about 40 - 50. Best guess was aircraft, maybe military and flying higher than commercial aircraft, but not much faster. Last one was just outside the line and moved up next to the previous one before they went out of our view.
What do y'all think we saw? We're in lower Alabama near Rucker, but those guys all play with whirlies. |

Elon
Space X has been launching 60 wifi satellites at a time lately. They did it over Belgium/Netherlands last week and it looked a a train in the sky from the pictures I saw.

Probably geese using flashlights as tail lights. And yes, they do fly at night.

Saw the previous SpaceX launch "train". It is a strange sight. Can't imagine when they get the full 42,000 of those satellites up how busy the night sky will be.

Well, we're out in the country, pretty dark here. It's dark enough to see the Milky Way on any clear night.
I'll go with the satellite story. |

SpaceX SVs aer in a straight line (same inclination angle).
You saw Unidentified objects, "flying" or gliding. Cpt. Obvious here to help. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytUygPqjXEc (satellites) After further review I retract my meteor shower theory. I saw the 'train' about a week ago.

I sat in a parking lot in Elba a few years back and watched a half dozen fighters in some sort of dogfight type practice for the 30 minutes I was able to watch. There are probably what, 1/2 dozen military air fields within a few minutes flight time of where you are.
Somewhere down there, close to Rucker, but not on the base, I pulled over and watched 20 copters circling taking turns doing touch and goes on a little strip of asphalt out in a field. God Bless the neighbors that lived close by.

If you are hinting at what I think you are hinting at...........UFO. It is entirely possible just look at the footage finally confirmed as true from Navy pilots. This footage has been brought to light years ago but just confirmed recently by the Pentagon. The Galaxy is huge and the Universe is even bigger. Possible fast radio bursts from our own Galaxy reported by the news. Hey at least take your mind off of Covid

We frequently hear these birds sound like they're landing on our roof. We can hear the big guns at night as well. Ah, the sounds of freedom. While I was writing the original post, a big bird buzzed the back porch. Didn't get my camera open in time but I could almost read the lettering on the tires. Caught him on the return, much higher. |
