Distibutor grease?
What kind of grease is in the factory distributor under the felt washer. Can someone recommend one to use?

I have always used disc brake wheel Bearing grease and since a few years ago when I switched over to a synthetic type, that's what I now use.

I used old school wheel bearing grease, but that tube is gone. Next time i will likely have to buy a tube. Not likely going to use the stringy synth red lithium by Ford.

the thing with lubrication in this spot is that i believe the original GM grease was grease that would creep and move around up and out of the well when at operating temp under 200 degrees
Wheel bearing grease is designed to stay put with heat for obvious reasons and at a much higher temps anything has to be better than nothing and the original lube is nearly unobtanium
