I was stationed in Germany when I was in the Army in the late 90's. Took a German girl to see Saving Private Ryan at the theater on base. After the movie, she was kinda cranky. I asked her why. She said, "the movie makes it seem like the American soldiers are so good and the German soldiers are so stupid."

I looked at her and said, "Hey, sweetheart, why do you think I'm stationed over here instead of the other way around?"

This one is a classic;
I've read or heard it many times over, and it bever gets old.

@ Tom - Thanks for the laughs!
Most of those were new to me;
I'll be sure to share some tomorrow!!

How true this is, have you seen the front suspension on the German designed Dodge Chargers, Challengers and Chrysler 300's!

I was a stationary engineer. (power plant). And yes, I did spend a lot of time being stationary.

And I was a "Very Senior" Engineer, so they always made sure I had a clean pillow case on my pillow when it was nappy time at work.
And they put me in the darkest corner so the sunshine did not mess with that sleepy-by time.
Everyone knows old people need their afternoon naps to get thru the day.

Great read - 5 and 7 I liked the most. Will pass onto my son and daughter.

He's a Transportation Design Engineer (2021 Civil Engineering degree from UMD Clark School of Engineering) and she'll soon start her senior year at Princeton University (Electrical/Computer Engineering program). Yes, proud papa here!
